Application of pneumatic caisson
The classification of pneumatic caisson based on application and work method, as well as the actual projects are introduced.
Application based on the usage
of pneumatic caisson
The pneumatic caisson method is applied for installation work of structure foundation and underground structures.

Classification based on the
method of pneumatic caisson
The pneumatic caisson has different methods: the cutoff wall caisson method in which cutoff walls are installed around the top of caisson, the pier caisson method in which the bridge frame is built after the construction of caisson top and then installed, and the direct foundation method in which the cutting edge is added on the relatively low foundation classified as direct foundation based on design and then installed.
Classification based on the
work location of the pneumatic
caisson
The pneumatic caisson is a construction method that can be conducted in different locations, including not only on-ground work but also work above water, such as rivers, lakes, ponds, and seas. Based on the classification of location where caisson is installed, it can be roughly classified into an on-ground caisson and an underwater caisson.
